TV series 'Under the Dome' scheduled to film in Burgaw | Arts & Culture

BURGAW, NC (WECT) - CBS's new series Under the Dome has tentative plans to start shooting in Burgaw. According to the town, crews are planning on filming downtown on March 6 and 7.

According to CBS spokesperson Phil Gonzales, Under the Dome will star Natalie Martinez (Broken City), Colin Ford (Supernatural) and Britt Robertson.

The series will be based in a fictitious town called Chester's Mill. The town finds itself surrounded by a mysterious barrier that won't allow people to travel outside of it.

CBS has ordered 13 episodes of the series, which is based on a Stephen King novel.

NBC's new series Revolution has also spent some time shooting in Burgaw.
