Patriots fall short to the Spartans
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Pender Patriots were on the road Friday, traveling to Rose Hill where the Union Spartans were trying to get to the .500 mark.
The Patriots went into that game coming off a 52-0 win over Hobbton, but the momentum fell short.
The Spartans were up 19-0 going into the second half and managed to keep the lead until the end.
Final score: Pender 28, Union 35.
Pender will travel again this Friday as they take on James Kenan. Union will play at home again, hosting Hobbton.
