Town manager shortens approval time for film permits | Hollywood East

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Town Manager in Burgaw wants to make the film permit process in the area a little easier.

He asked the board Tuesday night if it is okay to only have town staff approve the film permits so production companies can rely on a quick turnaround on permit requests.

Though the application process does not require the town board's approval, it was protocol in Burgaw.

Now, in an effort to speed up the process, the board agreed it was okay to only have town staff approve the permits.
