Pender Co. student a finalist in international poetry contest
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A student in Burgaw is a semifinalist in an international poetry contest.
According to Scott Borah with Pender Early College High School, freshman Brittney Horrell is in the running for a $1,000 grand prize in the World Poetry Movement's International Open Poetry and the Famous Poets International free poetry contests.
